Practical answers on grade selection, standards, certificates, minimum quantities, lead times, machining and export documents for titanium orders.

What information should I include in a titanium enquiry?
Product form, grade, applicable standard, dimensions and tolerances, quantity, service conditions (medium, temperature, pressure), document requirements, destination and target delivery. Drawings help where parts are machined to specification. The more complete the enquiry, the faster we can confirm a price and a delivery date.
Which titanium grade do I need — Gr.2 or Gr.5 (TC4)?
Gr.2 (TA2) is commercially pure titanium: excellent corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability, and the usual choice for chemical, marine and desalination equipment. Gr.5 (TC4 / Ti-6Al-4V) is an α-β alloy with roughly twice the strength, used for aerospace structures, high-strength mechanical parts and weight-critical assemblies. Which standards do you supply to?
ASTM standards are the most common reference: B265 for plate and sheet, B348 for bar, B338 / B861 / B862 for tube, B381 for forgings, plus DIN, ISO, ASME, GB and AMS requirements where specified. The applicable standard is confirmed in writing before the order is placed.
What certificates come with the material?
Mill test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 are issued as standard, covering chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat-number traceability. EN 10204 3.2 and independent third-party inspection can be arranged when agreed in the order.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
It depends on product form, grade and size. Stocked sizes and standard dimensions can often be supplied in smaller quantities, while special sizes or forgings usually carry a production minimum. Tell us the quantity you need and we will confirm what is workable.
How long does delivery take?
Lead time depends on grade, size, quantity and whether the material is in stock or made to order. After confirming availability we give a target date in the quotation and keep you updated at the production, inspection and dispatch milestones.
Can you machine titanium parts to our drawing?
Yes. Bar and forgings can be supplied as stock or machined to drawing. Send PDF, DWG or DXF files with the enquiry; tolerances, surface finish, heat-treatment condition and inspection scope are confirmed before quotation.
Do you export to Europe, North America and Asia?
Yes. Our products are exported to North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Packing, marking and export documents are confirmed for each destination.
How is titanium packed for export?
Material is packed to prevent contact damage and contamination, separated by grade and heat, and marked with grade, heat number, size and order reference. Sea-worthy packing, fumigation requirements and container loading are handled according to destination rules.
Can you help with grade selection for a corrosive service?
Yes. Tell us the medium, concentration, temperature, pressure and any chloride content, and we will propose candidate grades — commonly Gr.2 for general corrosion service, Gr.7 or Gr.12 for reducing acids and crevice conditions — together with the trade-offs in cost and availability.
